What you'll learn
- Click a window to grab exactly the content area shown (Pro)
- Save your favorite areas under "Saved areas" and recall them in one click
- Remember the window size too, so recall auto-resizes the app window to match (great for fixed layouts)
1Grab the content area with Window Click Pro and above
Click Window Click in the capture area selection section, then click the target window. StillSnap sets the capture area to exactly fit what's shown. Unlike Drag, there is no hand-shake, and you get the exact same area every time.
For some apps, instead of the whole window frame, it snaps to the content area at the spot you clicked — excluding the title bar and margins, so you capture just the content. (Apps where this isn't available fall back to the full client area, as before.)
2Save and recall under "Saved areas" All plans
Register frequently used areas under Saved areas: to recall them in one click.
- Save — with an area set, click Save and give it a name.
- Recall — pick it from the dropdown to load it.
- Delete — remove areas you no longer need with Delete.
Remember the window size too (for fixed layouts)
When saving, if asked "Also remember the window size?", choose Yes to store the target app's window position and size along with the capture area. On recall, StillSnap auto-resizes the app window back to the stored position and size, then reproduces the area.
Even for apps whose header/footer stay a fixed size regardless of the window, you'll capture exactly the same spot every time. These show as "[Window] name" in the list.
3How many you can save & Clear
Saved areas work on all plans, with a per-plan limit on how many you can save: Starter 1 / Pro 10 / Unlimited unlimited.
Clear (all plans) — "Clear area" only removes the current area selection (it doesn't affect saved areas or the target window).
